Apartheid Vs. Fossil Fuel Divestment At Harvard

In 1986, 65% of students who voted in the student government election supported complete divestment from South Africa. In 1990–with 38% of the student body voting–52% supported complete divestment. In 2012, with over 50% of the student bodying voting, 72% supported divestment from fossil fuel companies.

Students are raising their voices, telling our university that we do not want our money to be invested in companies that are threatening our future.
