One of the major consequences of climate change is the effects on human health. Examples are asthma from air pollution, stroke and dehydration from heat waves, hunger and malnutrition from droughts, dangers from hurricanes and tornadoes, and the spread of diseases through water, food, and…animals.
The latter usually refers to increased mosquito populations (with increased temperatures) and therefore the possibility of spreading West Nile Virus. Well, those days are here. Dallas County in Texas declared a state of emergency a couple of days ago because West Nile Virus is spreading, killing nine people already.
