In Honor of the Olympics

I hope that everyone is watching at least a little bit of the 2012 Olympics in London. I love the camaraderie and unity of the Olympic season. The stories of some of the athletes are inspiring beyond belief, like the first woman athlete from Saudi Arabia. The determination, passion, and commitment of these individuals teach lessons to us all.

Of course, it’s pretty hard to miss Usain Bolt. Breaking and making history in 9.69 seconds. 41 steps. Unreal. It’s interesting how modern training techniques, track improvements, foot ware upgrades, and diet modifications have led to a running evolution, enabling Bolt to knock our socks off. This video from the NYT compares Bolt’s times to other former Olympians–and to 8-year olds today. Take a look.
