Kalamazoo Anniversary Events

In July 2010, 1 million gallons of tar sands oil were spilled in the Kalamazoo River in Michigan. Thirty-nine miles of river were closed off, and clean-up costs amounted to $725 million. This July 25th, activists around the country are organizing Kalamazoo Solidarity Events to raise awareness about the dangers of tar sands oil, learn from the catastrophe of Kalamazoo, and further the effort to keep tar sands oil out of New England. Here is a list of events so far. Most are in New England, but keep checking the website for new postings!
