The Harvard College Global Energy Initiative, a group that I’m involved with at Harvard, organized a renewable energy demonstration today. We used solar panels to power speakers (and therefore music), and we have flexible solar film that allowed us to charge people’s cellphones and laptops. We handed out information on Harvard’s renewable energy technologies and what people can do to get involved. The demo also incorporated an interactive opinion board so that people could answer different questions relating to green energy and see how their opinion compared to others’. Lastly, we raffled off a solar pack and two solar iPhone/iPod chargers to get people involved. All in all, we wanted to show that renewable energy is natty and viable. It worked! Here are some pictures.
