Here’s my train of thought on why the environmental movement is the most important movement today:
Take idling. Idling for 5 minutes per day for a year emits 300 lbs of CO2. This CO2 reacts with toxins in the atmosphere, creating pollutants that can cause or trigger asthma. As more people idle, the rate of asthma goes up, which means that medical expenses go up, which means there are more government deficits, which means there is less money for welfare programs, green programs, and other important federal expenses.
So wouldn’t the solution be to just stop idling? Yes. It’s all connected, and it all starts with the environment. Save the environment, save the world.
